My name is Bijany Liep, a third-year student at the University of Juba, pursuing a degree in Geology and Mining, specializing in Mineral Resources. For me, university has always been more than a pathway to a degree; it is a vibrant ecosystem of diverse lives, ideas, and, most importantly, potential for collective action. I believe that our education is not truly complete until we step outside the lecture hall and apply it to the world around us.
I joined Conflict and Resolution Education (CRE) provided by Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative-Uganda (WPDI) in 2019, I have been an active member in Leek community Association since 2020 to present day,am a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers(SPE)-University of Juba students' chapter, a member of Leek youth union,recently participated in the South Sudan Geo Hub-Youth World Cleanup day 2025 and also willing to join and collaborate with international young leaders to change the community standards in the coming decades
